TRANSFER SAGA: Dolphins To Stop Eduok's Esperance move

Nigeria club  Dolphins of Port Harcourt have dragged Tunisian giants Esperance before the players’ statute committee of FIFA following the North African club’s breach of the contractual agreement it reached with their Nigerian counterparts as regards the payment of the transfer fee of striker Emem Eduok in January this year.
Both clubs settled for a fee of 400,000 US dollars to be paid in two instalments of 250,000 and 150,000 dollars.
Esperance were to wire to the bank account of Dolphins the 250,000 dollars initial payment not later than three days after receiving the player’s international transfer certificate, ITC in January.

But despite having received the document from the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF since January, Esperance have not been forthcoming with the money.

“We’ve reported this matter to the NFF who subsequently swung into action by contacting Esperance through the Tunisian FA” , informs a Dolphins official on condition of anonymity.
“But as we speak, Esperance have stopped taking his calls and we have no option than to get in touch with FIFA to stop Emem from playing for them.
“Of course  we’re asking FIFA to grant us permission to withraw the player and to commit Esperance to pay us for the services he’s rendered to them within the period he has been with them,” the Dolphins official added.
The petition is expected to reach FIFA headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland any moment from now.
