Former Bayelsa United forward Peter Ebimobowei proved he is back to
full fitness after his injury worries, scoring in Al-Ahly's 2-1 win over
Alaab Damanhour.
Ebimobowei scored Al-Ahly's first goal which started a late rally that
saw them snatch all points with just three minutes of regulation time
left to play.
The Nigerian leveled scores in the 87th minute, his third goal for the
Africa club of the century, and Al Saeid gifted them all three points
with the winner on the dot of 90 minutes.
Al-Ahly had to hang on for all three points after the sending off of
Sherif Abdul Fadil which will bring respite to them after their 0-1 loss
to Morocco Magreb Tetuoan in the CAF champions League.
Nicknamed Ebi by Egyptian fans he has now scored three goals for the
team in the league despite battling niggling injuries that have
prevented him from getting more games and minutes.
