Nigeria Super Eagles player Odion Ighalo was snubbed by his newly promoted club, Watford as he did not win any award organised by the club at the end of the season. Watford will feature in the EPL next season after they finished a point behind
English Championship winners AFC Bournemouth.
Ighalo scored 20 goals in the league to help his team secure that promotion, but he still failed to cart home any award on Sunday.
He came third in the Player of the Year Award behind winner Troy Deeney and runners-up Heurelho Gomes.
None of his 20 strikes was nominated for goal of the season. Troy Deeney also emerged as Players’ Player of the season.
