Kaduna proposed to host Eagles AFCON clash with Chad

The Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna has been proposed to stage next month’s 2017 AFCON qualifier against Chad, it has been revealed.
The qualifier is billed for June 13 and it will be the first-ever clash between the

two neighbours. It will also be Stephen Keshi's first match on his second coming as Nigeria coach. Egypt and Tanzania are the other teams in Nigeria’s qualifying group for the tournament, which will be hosted in Gabon.

Calabar and Uyo were the Eagles home grounds for the failed attempt to qualify for the 2015 AFCON.
The 15,000-capacity ABS in Kaduna last hosted an Eagles match in November 2011, when Keshi played his second match as Nigeria coach. Nigeria defeated Zambia 2-0 in the friendly at the stadium.

The ABS has also hosted the qualifying tournament for the 2015 African Youth Championship as well as a 2014 CHAN qualifier against Cote d'Ivoire.
