Hapoel Afula's promotion bid got a boost after their 4-2 win over
Maccabi Yavne thanks to a hat-trick from their Nigerian forward,
Olarenwaju Kehinde.
On loan from Maccabi Tel Aviv, the power playing forward scored his
first from the spot in the 63rd minute to draw his team level before
putting them 2-1 up seven minutes later.
He went home with the match ball when he plundered his third of the
game with 16 minutes left to play to put his team 3-1 up putting them in
the position that helped them claim a 4-2 win to move them up to second
spot in the Israeli leumit league promotion playoffs.
The treble took Kayode's tally for the season to 19 goals from 29 games
further enhancing his chances of being given a spot in the main team of
his parent owners Maccabi Tel Aviv.
Since joining Maccabi Tel Aviv in the 2012/2013 season he is yet to
make an appearances for the team in competitive games and has being
farmed out on loan twice in the past.
However, his loan spell this season with Hapoel Afula in the second
division is his most productive in terms of playing time and goals
scored.
