Amidst election controversy, newly re-elected chairman of Anambra FA Chief Mike Umeh is on cloud nine over the calibre of men he has on the board to work within the next four years.
Umeh stated yesterday in Lagos that he was particularly impressed with the election of oil magnate Chief Ifeanyi Ubah as his vice chairman. He noted that Ubah’s entry into the
Executive would bring transformation and take Anambra football to the next level. “The election has been conducted, won and lost and I am very impressed with the quality and calibre of personalities that made the Exco.
I couldn’t have asked for more. However, I am particularly impressed with the emergence of Ifeanyi Ubah as my deputy. We all know the stuff he is made of in this country.
“Teaming up with Ubah means that sports in Anambra State will soon witness tremendous transformation. As a game changer, I have no iota of doubt that he would bring the experiences and deft touches he applied in other areas of human endeavour to bear in running football in Anambra State. It is good news and good tidings to have him on board and I know we will never remain the same,” Chief Umeh noted.
