Transfer Saga: Rangers Cry Foul Over Osagouna Transfer

Ighodaro Osagouna may now be the hero for Raja Casablanca, but his former club Enugu Rangers have raised alarm that they are yet to receive a dime from the Moroccan club for his transfer.
Osagouna has so far scored five goals for Raja in this year’s CAF Champions League to emerge as one of the leading scorers.
But Rangers have specially told AfricanFootball.com that three months after Osagouna signed a four and half year contract with Raja in January they are still waiting on the top Moroccan club to pay the 150,000 Euros agreed for the striker’s transfer.
Rangers spokesman Foster Chime stated that despite correspondences back and forth with Raja Casablanca through the Moroccan football association, the Moroccans have failed to make any payments to the Enugu club.
“You won’t believe that we (Rangers) are yet to get anything from Raja Casablanca for the transfer of our former striker Osaguona. Even when we agreed that the payment of the transfer fee will be in three instalments, they have failed to honour their own part of the bargain,” Chime lamented.
He further stated, “Rangers are still going about this breach in a diplomatic way as we don’t wish to frustrate the career of the player involved as we did another letter just some few days back to the Moroccan club through their football federation.
“We sincerely hope it will reap the desired result so that we get our share in the deal.”
