WYC New Zealand 2015: Flying Eagles destroys North Korea 4-0 to revive hope, as Saviour Godwin hits double


After a disappointing 4-2 defeat to familiar foes Brazil in their opening Group E match, the Flying eagles of Nigeria today thrashed North Korea 4-0. All the goals came in the second
half of the match as Striker Saviour Godwin scored a brace with Kingsley Sokari and Isaac Success scoring a goal each to complete the score.

 The win means that Nigeria are on the brink of qualifying for the last-16 provided they beat Hungary who lost 2-1 to Brazil in the other Group E fixture. Nigeria is now third in the group with thrre points behind Hungary (2nd with also three points) and Brazil (Ist with six points).
Nigeria will play Hungary in their final Group E match on Sunday to determine who joins Brazil in the last 16.
