The exit of Gbenga Ogunbote at Sharks has created a scramble for his position at the Port Harcourt side.
Although Ogunbote’s assistants, Daboere Dokubo and Festus Allen, continue as stand-in
coaches, supersport.com learnt that the club will monitor their performance before taking a decision on the need for a replacement.
“If Dokubo and Allen succeed, then we will not bother about getting a replacement for Ogunbote.
"However, we will have to consider employing a top-class coach, if the results don’t change. We already have coaches from top flight clubs making enquiries.
“Don’t forget that Dokubo was in charge when the league started as Ogunbote was away due to the incident that happened on the eve of the season,” the club source disclosed.
Sharks are placed 19th on the log after a 1-1 draw in the Port Harcourt derby against rivals Dolphins on Sunday.
