Manger of Fenerbahce Ismail Kartal has warned Super Eagles striker Emmanuel Emenike not react fans of the Turkish club.
The
Fenerbahce striker last month nearly walked out on a derby match after
he was booed by his own club before forcing his manager to substitute
him.
The striker faced the home crowd for the first time after that incident as Fenerbahce on
Monday, April 20 faced Bursaspor in a Super Lig clash.
Before the match, Fenerbahce advised Emnike not to be provoked by the boos of the fans .
“You have to stay calm in this situation. Some groups of supporters will protest at you consciously," Kartal said in a statement.
“These people react to our president in every match but this time it may come upon you. Do not be provoked.”
Emenike
however continued his poor form as he fired blanks again at Fernerbahce
1-0 win over Bursaspor at the Sukru Saracoglu stadium in Istanbul.
The Nigerian played for only 46 minutes before he was substituted by Hasan Ali Kaldirim.
Emenike last scored for Fenerbahce on February 14, scoring the opening goal in his club's 5-0 away win at Gaziantespor.
