Former Super Eagles skipper and current Delta State FA Chairman, Austin Jay Jay Okocha, was among the goals scorers as football legends across the world played a charity game against French side, Saint Etienne, to raise money against poverty Monday night.
The game was the 12th annual Match Against Poverty with a Saint-Etienne all-star
side hosting a Ronaldo Zidane and friends XI.
The football legends won the charity game 9-7 with Okocha getting one of the goals.
Okocha who starred alongside Ronaldo,Zinedine Zidane,Clarence Seedorf and Fabian Barthez, curled in a wonderful strike as his star-studded side emerged victorious at the at Stade Geoffroy-Guichard.
Aside Okocha , one of the goals of the game came from the super cool Clarence Seedorf who earned his name on the score sheet with a sublime chip.
Also on target was former French international David Trezeguet, but it was the duo of Ronaldo and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang who shone the brightest as both players grabbed a hat-trick during the encounter.
