Nigerian racing driver Ovie Iroro is gunning for the top car racing competition in the world, The Formula One. 
After
 becoming the first Nigerian driver to compete in the British Formula 
Ford 
Championship Iroro has also set his sights to follow the footstep 
of World Number one, Lewis Hamilton who is the first black man to win the Formula One. 
Ovie
 Iroro moved to the UK about three years ago to pursue a career in 
Mechanical Engineering student at the University College London.
While
 there he has also pursued a career in motorsport and won the Best 
Rookie award at Rye-House club championship in 2012 and was part of the 
UCL BUKC rookie team that placed seventh overall in the UK.  
“My aim is to get to Formula 1 in future; that’s 
the pinnacle of motorsports. It’s every young driver’s dream to get 
there and hopefully, with the right backing and funding, I will make it 
to F1,” Iroro said. 
He
 is already flying the Nigerian flag high as he represented the country 
in 2014 at the Federation Internationale de l’Automobile young drivers 
academy held in South Africa.
