The Super Eagles of Nigeria have moved one step up in the current FIFA rankings which was released for the Month of March 2015.
The nation's national team, who are still without a coach and also missed the African Cup of Nations in Equitorial Guinea were 42nd in the February edition of the rankings.
The Nigeria's senor national team have only been able to play two friendly games this
year; one against Ivory Coast where they lost 0-1 to the current African champions, and the second to the Yemen national team, winning 2-0 in Dubai in January.
The 2013 AFCON champions remains seventh in the African continent, queuing behind the likes of Algeria, Cote d'Ivoire, Ghana, Tunisia, Cape Verde Island and Senegal.
Nigeria, will hope to improve on the world rankings as they have scheduled two friendly games for the Eagles, Bolivia on the 26th and then a replay against South Africa three days later.
Algeria, who are first in Africa ranked 18th in the world while Cote d’Ivoire are in 20th position in the world and second in Africa. They are followed by Ghana, Tunisia, Senegal, Cape Verde Island, Nigeria, Guinea, Congo DR and Cameroon.
Germany occupy the first position on the Fifa /Coca-Cola World Ranking with Argentina and Colombia third and fourth respectively.
The biggest climbers of the month are Barbados (131st) and Bermuda (169th), both of whom have risen by 11 places by virtue of a win and a draw each.
Spain for the first time in many year are nowhere to be found in the top ten having been ranked 11th with 1130 points.
