The Nigeria national women's football team, nicknamed "the Super Falcons" have emerged as African champions for the eighth time after a 1-0 victory against the wasteful Indomitable Lioness of Cameroon on Saturday, December 3. 2016 in the 12th Africa Women Cup of Nations final.
