After being banished to continue playing in Ilorin, capital of Kwara State for their next three home game matches (following a matchday violence in Jos against visiting Enugu Rangers), Giwa Fc again stubbornly missed their re-scheduled match with Rangers in Abuja, another
match with Wikki Tourist in Ilorin and now its looking likely that they will not honour today's match against Akwa United.
The penalty for missing three matches stated in the LMC's rule and regulation is outright expulsion from the League should they fail to honour this game. According to close sources in the club the players still don't know whether they will be travelling to Ilorin to play the match as they are still in Jos as at 6pm yesterday.
Football stakeholders, fans and pundits are really watching with keen interest and will closely be waiting to see if the LMC really means business to sanitize the league and make it attractive for investors, by abiding to the rules of Nigeria Professional Football league (which of course so far they have been doing really good).
