According to Premiumtimesng.com a Nigerian, Chinonso Ihelwere, died on Sunday, in Romania, after he slumped while playing in a football match.
Ihelwere, 21, slumped while playing for his clubside, FC Tulcea, in a second division
match against FC Baltoesti. The match was played in Baltoesti, a town north of Bucharest, the Romanian capital.
Though he was quickly rushed to the hospital, the doctors could not save him; as his heart stopped beating and his breath seized.
The head of the local ambulance service in Baltoesti, Bogdan Oprita , said an autopsy would be carried out to determine the cause of the Nigerian’s death.
Mr. Ihelwere, who arrived in Romania in 2007, had been playing for FC Tulcea since 2010.
