Nigeria's Olympic Dream Team VI beat North African counterparts, Algeria 2-1 in the final of the of the CAF U-23 Cup of Nation held in Dakar, Senegal on Sunday.
Two goals from Warri Wolves forward, Oghenekaro Etebo was enough to see off the
stubborn and physical Algerians which saw him emerge as the top scorer of the competition with five goals, while Algeria goalkeeper, Abdelkadir Salhi, was adjudged the best goalkeeper at the tournament. South Africa claimed the third spot after they beat host nation Senegal 3-1 (pe) in the looser's final. Nigeria, Algeria and South Africa will now represent Africa at the 2016 Olympic Tournament in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Meanwhile, the victorious team was given a heroes welcome after they arrived Murtala Mohammed International airport in Nigeria on Monday by 3pm aboard Arik Airline.
