2015 WYC: Germany pips Nigeria 1-0, to fly them out of WYC 2015 New Zealand

Levin Oztunali's goal sends Nigeria home

It was a bad day for the helpless Flying eagles as they lost to a much determined German youth Machines 1-0 in their round-16 match played earlier today.
A first half goal from Levin Oztunali was enough to take Germany through to the last eight of
the FIFA U-20 World Cup New Zealand 2015 at the expense of Nigeria.

But the highlight of the game was when Nigeria-born German captain and defender

Kelvin Akpoguma reunited with his father (pics above) after the game.

The win ultimately sees the Germans through as they hung on to book a quarter-final clash with another African opponent Mali and remain in Christchurch, while Nigeria head home.
