What??? Flying Eagles without kits in Germany

The national U-20 men’s team preparing for the upcoming FIFA U-20 World Cup at a training camp in Germany are without kits, New Telegraph can reveal. Our correspondent learnt that kit manufacturing firm, Nike, which took over the branding of all of the
country’s national teams from previous kit providers, Adidas, has not provided kits to the Flying Eagles.
As a result, the Flying Eagles, who will be competing at the U-20 World Cup in New Zealand from May 30 to June 20, now trains in ragtag jerseys. When our correspondent asked the Nigeria Football Federation’s General Secretary, Mohammed Sanusi, about the development, he said arrangements were on to deliver the Nike kits to the Flying Eagles before the commencement of the World Cup.
He added that the NFF was making concerted efforts to make the team comfortable in Germany before they head off to New Zealand for the 24- team championship. “We do not want any distractions; our target is to bring the cup home for the first time and I can assure you that that will be done at the end of championship,” he explained, even as he called on Nigerians to pray for the team just like they did during the last African U-20 Championships in Senegal.
