Dominic Solanke was pleased to score his 36th goal of the season across
all tournaments as Chelsea Under 21s beat their Southampton
counterparts in the Under 21 Premier League on Thursday. The England youth international scored three minutes into second half stoppage time to seal all three points for the Londoners.
Solanke and Ola Aina were both named in the starting line - up by
manager Adi Viveash while Southampton full - back Joshua Debayo started a
game in the Under 21 Premier League for the tenth time this season.
''Good win away to Southampton. 5 games left to fight for the U21
title. Nice to get another goal as well,'' Dominic Solanke tweeted.
The three Anglo-Nigerian players involved in the game at St Mary’s
lasted the entire duration, with Debayo picking up a booking in the 33rd
minute.
Next up for Chelsea is a trip to Motspur Park , where they take on Fulham on Monday, May 4.
As for Southampton, they are guests to Manchester United at Leigh Sports Village on the same date.
