NPFL: Heartland gives Coach Onuh Ultimatum

Coach Erasmus Onuh has come under fire following last weekend’s 3-0 bashing of Heartland in Owerri in a Nigeria League Week 7 game by Sunshine Stars. According to a press release by the media officer, Cajetan Nwokpara, Heartland have given Onuh and his assistants to gather 10 points from the
next five games or face sanctions.

"The management has issued a five-match ultimatum to the club technical crew led by, Erasmus Onuh to gather 10 points or face sanctions following two consecutive home losses to Abia Warriors (2-0) and Sunshine (3-0),” the statement read in part.
“The general manager Okechukwu Ibe said the measure is necessary to serve as wake-up call for the team from the apparent slumber."

After a flying start to the new season, Heartland are now fourth on the table with 12 points from seven matches.
