Nigerian league champions, Kano Pillars, have been
eliminated from the CAF Champions League, despite a 2-1 win at home
against Mohgreb Tetouan.
Pillars
were aiming to overturn a 4-0 result from the first at the Sani Abacha
Stadium, but
Mouhcine Lajour gave the Moroccans a 1-0 lead, to further
stretch their advantage.
Tony Omayerue and Rabiu Ali then put Okey Emordi’s team in the lead, but that was the much they could muster against 10 men.
Pillars have now failed to qualify for the CAF Champions League group
stages for three years in a row.
Enyimba also crashed out of the Africa’s elite club competition after being eliminated by the little known Egyptian club Smouha on Sunday.
So Shameful !!!!!!!
