PREVIEW: Nigerian players abroad


It was another week of footablling action and Get9jasports.com takes a close look at how our own Nigerian players performed abroad, as the AFCON 2017 qualifying series is close by.
ENGLAND
Kenneth Omeruo: He was not listed again as Middlesbrough beat Norwich City 1-0 away in an
English Championship match.
Brown Ideye: He was missing in action for West Brom due to injury as they beat host Crystal Palace 2-0. His compatriot Victor Anichebe played the full game for West Brom.
Odion Ighalo: He was a 55th minute substitute for Watford as they beat Birmingham City 1-0. He replaced Matej Vydra.
Mikel Obi: The midfielder was a stoppage time substitute for Chelsea in their 1-0 win over Manchester United. He replaced Cesc Fabregas and played the added four minutes.
Hope Akpan: The defensive midfielder was not listed for Reading in their FA Cup semifinal against Arsenal which they lost 2-1.
Victor Moses: He was not listed by Stoke City as he is out injured. Stoke beat Southampton 2-1.

GERMANY
 Anthony Ujah: The striker lasted for 85 minutes for Cologne as they played out a goalless draw at Hertha Berlin.
Leon Balogun: He was in action for the entire duration for Darmstadt in a 1-1 draw at home with FC Heidenheim. He was cautioned by the referee in the 43rd minute.


 ITALY
Ogenyi Onazi: He was an unused substitute for Lazio as they lost 2-0 to Juventus.

FRANCE 
Elderson Echiejile: The left back was in action for the entire duration as Monaco were held to a 1-1 draw by visiting Rennes. He was cautioned by the referee in the 90th minute.
Vincent Enyeama: The Eagles skipper was in action for the entire duration in the colours of Lille as they beat Bordeaux 2-0.

SCOTLAND
 Efe Ambrose: He was an unused substitute for Celtic as they lost 3-2 in the Scottish Cup semifinal to Inverness CT.

Raheem Lawal: He saw action for the entire duration as Eskisehirspor won 1-0 at Kayseri Erciyesspor.

 Godfrey Oboabona: He was in action for Rizespor from start to finish as they lost 3-1 at Istanbul BB. He was cautioned by the referee in the 68th minute.

 Ahmed Musa: He saw action for the entire duration for CSKA Moscow as they drew 1-1 at home with FC Krasnodar.

 Ramon Azeez: He was in action for 67 minutes for Almeria as they lost 2-0 at Rayo Vallencano.

 Akeem Latifu: The right back was in action for Aalesund in their 5-1 loss at Molde.

 Michael Babatunde: The winger was in action for Volyn from start to finish as they lost 3-1 at home to Dynamo Kiev. He was cautioned in the 64th minute.

 Austin Ejide: He was in goal for Hapoel Be'er Sheva in the game against Ironi Kiryat Shimon.

 John Ogu: He was missing in action for Hapoel Be'er Sheva against Ironi Kiryat Shimon because he was suspended due to accumulation of five yellow cards.
