MOSES SIMON OPENS BELGIAN TITLE PLAYOFFS IN SCORING STYLE


Nigeria international Moses Simon inspired Gent to a winning start in the Belgian Championship playoff when he scored in a 2-0 win over Kortrijk.
 ‘Daddy’ Moses scored the second his team’s goal in the 73rd minute, before he was substituted two minutes later by Rafinha.
 He scored six goals for Gent during the regular season as his stocks have risen remarkably in the
last few months.
 Last month, he was capped at full international level by Nigeria in friendlies against Uganda and South Africa.
 He has also been nominated for the prestigious Ebony Award for the best African player in the Belgian top flight for this season.
 He has also been listed on a provisional squad for the FIFA U20 World Cup in New Zealand beginning next month.
