LMC accepts Sunshine Stars strippers’ apology, lifts ban

Sunshine Stars’ duo of Kunle Odunlami and Prince Aggrey, will face no further action, after the League Management Company (LMC) confirmed they have apologized for their indecent behaviour.
The two players were banned for one league game and fined N50,000, after they stripped to their pants to celebrate the winning goal in a Week 4 game against Dolphins.
Chief Operating Officer of the LMC, Salisu Abubakar, warned the players about their future conduct and confirmed they have been pardoned for their behaviour.
Abubakar said: “The two players have written to accept full responsibility for their bad behaviour and have accordingly apologized to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), the LMC, our broadcast partners; Supersport, the owners of the club; the Ondo Government, their employers; the Ondo State Football Agency, Supporters of Sunshine Stars and the general public.”
Odunlami and Aggrey escaped facing a special LMC commission, by exploring the NPFL framework and regulations, which gave them a choice of accepting the LMC’s verdict within 48 hours.
