Nigeria stars John Ogu and Nosa Igiebor will come face-to-face in the final of the Israel State Cup after their respective clubs made it all the way to the epic stage of the cup competition.
Ogu’s Hapoel Be'er Sheva thus battle Igiebor's Maccabi Tel Aviv in the cup final on May 20 inHaifa.
Ogu said that he is happy to be part of Hapoel Be'er Sheva's squad who have reached the final after thrashing Hapoel Afula 7-0 on Wednesday.
The former Academica de Coimbra midfielder said he was not expecting his team to record a victory of such margin because Hapoel Afula are a strong team.
"I am happy to be here with this team and be part of this history, though I didn't score any of the goals, but I was involved in five of the seven goals and having now got to the final, my target is to win the trophy,” he disclosed.
"I wasn't expecting us to win the game with such a wide margin, not really because we watched their previous games and they are a solid side."
Igiebor’s Maccabi Tel Aviv thrashed Maccabi Ahi Nazareth 3-0 in the other semifinal.
