Ubong Ekpai was once again match
winner for champions Kano Pillars as they beat Taraba 2-1 in Kano on
Sunday in continuation of the Nigeria league.
Pillars now have nine points from four games, while Taraba have seven points from six games.Former 3SC forward Azeez Shobowale gave Pillars the lead in the 27th minute after
a superb solo run.
Taraba captain Mohammed Usman levelled scores from the spot after Adamu Murtala fouled Chinedu Ohannachom.
Ubong Ekpai restored Kano Pillars lead after six minutes into the second half and this proved to be the match winner for Pillars.
Ekpai has now scored three goals in the league this season.
In the seventh minute, Adamu Hassan header off Azeez Shobowale cross came off the post.
In the 70th minute, Pillars defender Samuel Tswanya had his goal cancelled for offside.
