250 Golfers Jostle For 2015 IBB Golf Captain’s Cup Honour

No fewer than 250 golfers from across the country are expected to jostle for trophies and prizes at the 2015 edition of the IBB International Golf and Country Club Captain’s Cup competition slated for tomorrow at the IBB Golf Club.
Disclosing this at a media briefing to herald the golf fiesta in Abuja yesterday, chairman of
the organising committee, Igbuan Okaisabor, informed that this year’s edition will feature mostly in-house professional golfers from the club.
According to Okaisabor, the one-day event which will commence with the players’ tee-off 6:30am and the ceremonial tee-off by friends of the outgoing captain, Tam Brisibe, and sponsors at 9:00am, would be rounded up with presentation of trophies and prizes at a dinner and gala night at the club later in the evening.
According to Okaisabor, male golfers will compete in categories one, two and three, while their female counterparts will battle for the prizes at stake in women categories one and two.
Veterans will also have the opportunity to compete for honours in the veteran category.
Okaisabor, who praised the contribution of sponsors, Airtel, for bankrolling this year’s edition, assured that everything has been put in place to enhance the success of the competition this year.

The overall winner of the one-day event will earn an expensive business classic ticket trip to London or any European country of his/her choice.
