There are strong indications that Al-Ahly Sports Club striker Peter Ebimobowei could miss Sunday's Caf Super Cup match against Algerian side Entente Setif.
It is a North African affair as Setif won the 2014 Caf Champions League, while Al-Ahly emerged champions in the Caf Confederation Cup to set up the Caf Super clash.
The former Bayelsa United forward, who scored his first goal for Ahly against Ittihad El-Shorta, sustained a hamstring injury during the match.
supersport.com learnt that Ahly's medical team is yet to make any statement regarding the availability of the Nigerian.
Ebimobowei, it was learned, returned to training on Tuesday with the rest of the squad.
Saturday’s match is slated for Stade Mustapher Tchaka, Blida.
Ahly have the best record in the Caf Super Cup after winning six titles and have won the last two editions.
