Brila FM, Beat FM others lands NPFL broadcast right

NPFL Week 23: Wikki Tourist come from behind to destroy 8-Man Kano Pillars 3-1 infront of sell-out crowd, retains 1st Spot (PHOTOS)


It was a week to behold in the Nigerian professional football League as current surprise league leaders Wikki Tourist of Bauchi destroyed former NPFL champions Kano Pillars 3-1 in font over 25,000 home fans in Bauchi as the Maisu Gida boys from Kano were reduced to eight man in a very tensed match were Kano Pillars abused the referee severally.

Kano Pillars took the lead in the 35th minute of the first half through Emmanuel Edmund but the game went turned around when tackles started flying in resulting to three Kano Pillars' players sent off by the referee. Wikki Tourist then equalized through Ibrahim Alhassan in the 77th minute and then took the lead throgh Abubakar Lawal from the spot kick after Idris Guda was brough down in the box. Ibrahim Alhassan scored his second goal in the stoppage time to give them a resounding victory against an indisciplined Kano Pillars side on the day.

In another fixture on Sunday, MFM Fc unbeaten home record was shattered as Shooting Stars of Akure pipped them 1-0 in Agege Stadium courtesy of 82 mins goal scored by Ebitmi Agogu.
