The Football Fives World Championship is the biggest five-a-side tournament in the world also known as F5WC.
Nigeria is one of the participants in the tournament that is scheduled to kick-off later this year. A local qualifying tournament will soon start to determine who will represent Nigeria. The sub-license is opened to football organisers, football centers, events
companies and local leagues.
The organisers also added that the number of regional qualifiers would increase by a large number giving more opportunity to cities across the country.
The winners of the National Finals will join 31 countries and get the chance to represent Nigeria in an all-expenses paid trip to Beijing China, in May 2017.
FACTS
1) F5WC is the World’s largest 5 a side football tournament founded in 2014 and Denmark won the first edition. Morocco and Colombia won the second and the third edition respectively.
2) The Tournament was created and managed by Sport Events International DMCC (“SEI”)
3) F5WC qualifying is open to any amateur 5 a side football team (strictly no professionals) over the age of 16.
4) Each team must consist of no more than 7 players and
5) Team that wins the local qualifying tournament will be flown to Beijing, China all expenses paid.
6)The Tournament is to be held in Dubai later this year and comprises of 32 countries across the world
7) I-Sports Coliseum Limited, the exclusive rights owners of the franchise in Nigeria
