Barcelona Basketball club (Liga Endesa) has finally agreed terms with 29-year old Nigerian/American power forward, Olaseni Lawal, (208-102kg-86). Lawal managed to play
in three leagues last year. He played this season at Banco in Italian Serie A. In 47 games he had 11.3ppg, 9.5rpg (#5 in the league), 1.2apg, 1.1spg and 1.9bpg, helping them to win the supercup where he was named to Italian SerieA All-Star Game team.
Another Nigerian, Talib Zanna, is close to signing for an Italian basketball club, Openjobmetis Varese. Zanna played last time at Oklahoma City Blue in D-League. In 52 games, he recorded 13.1ppg and 11.0rpg last season.
He helped them to end the regular season as a second best team in Southwest Division. It was a great season indeed for him, as he was voted to D-League All-Star Game and All-Rookie 2nd Team. Zanna was called during the season by the Oklahoma City Thunder.
