NPFL Matchday 10 Update: Sunshine Stars remain on top after home win, As League go on break


Current NPFL defending Champions Kano Pillars beat Gabros 2-1 and Bayelsa United defeated Wikki 1-0. Lobi Stars clinched their first win of the season when they
pipped visiting Heartland 1-0.

League Leaders Sunshine Stars retained their leadership of the Nigeria league after they stopped visiting Kwara United 1-0 in Akure on Wednesday. Sunshine Stars have now recorded 20 points from 10 matches.

Giwa FC (The Tin City side)  were forced to a 1-1 draw by Sharks in Wednesday’s Glo Premier League match day 10 encounter at the Liberation Stadium in Port Harcourt. The point at Sharks adds up Giwa FC's points haul to 17 from a possible 30.

There were also home wins for Enyimba (3-1 vs El Kanemi) and Akwa United (2-1 vs 3SC). Enugu Rangers were held to a goalless draw by visiting Nasarawa United in Enugu as Dolphins also split the points on the road at FC Taraba courtesy of a 1-1 draw.

The league will now go on a three-week break and resume on June 14 with Week 11 matches.
