Nigeria Shell Cup Update: Quarterfinal matches to take place in Ibadan


The 2015 Nigeria NNPC/Shell Cup competition which normally consists of all secondary schools in the country has reached its quarterfinal stage and is scheduled to take place in
Ibadan, the Oyo State capital on Saturday and Sunday.

Over 200 participating students and their school officials will be housed within the military cantonment at Ojoo barracks where all the matches will also take place over a period of two days on Saturday, May 16 and Sunday, May 17.
The schools that have qualified for the quarterfinal stage of the annual football competition are from Adamawa, Edo, Enugu, Imo, Kano, Katsina, Nassarawa, Ogun, Rivers and Sokoto States.
The top four teams that qualify from Ibadan will move immediately to Lagos to participate in a playing and coaching clinic that will be conducted by Dutch coaches from the Feynoord Football Club and Academy in Holland.
According to the national coordinator, Shola Akinwale, the clinic will precede the semifinals and final matches taking place in Lagos on Friday, May 22 and Sunday, May 24 at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Surulere.
