Ex-Nigerian international footballer Nwankwo Kanu has tipped the Super Eagles to qualify for the 2017 African Nations Cup.
The
Super Eagles have been drawn with Eygpt, Tanzania and Chad in Group G
of the qualifying series, but the former Super Eagles captain has
expressed confidence that
Nigeria will qualify for tourney that will be
hosted by Gabon.
Kanu made this known through his
Twitter account, also advising the that preparations for the qualifier
should commence in earnest.
“Nigeria group is not bad, so boys let’s show we’re still the best and top the group. Work starts now so keep supporting our team,” the ex-Arsenal man tweeted.
The
Super Eagles did not qualify for the last edition of the African Cup of
Nations while seven time champion Egypt have failed to qualify for the
last three editions.
