CHRISTIAN OBODO MAKES GREECE CUP HISTORY


Nigeria midfielder Christian Obodo has made history in Greece with Skoda Xanthi as they reached the Greek Cup final for the first time in their history on Wednesday. Obodo was in action for the entire duration of the game as his team made history.
Xanthi, who were the former club of late Adefemi Olubayo, have reached the semi final of
the competition twice before now, losing to AEK FC 2001/2002 and  ARIS FC in 2004/2005.

 Xanthi drew goalless at home with Iraklis in the second leg semifinal and go through on a 1-0 win aggregate, having won the first leg at Iraklis 1-0.

 They will now face Olympiakos in the final. Olympiakos defeated Apollon Smirnis 4-1 on aggregate.
