Super Falcons will win the All African Games gold medal- Super Falcons captain

Captain of Super Falcons, Evelyn Nwabuoku has revealed that the women's national team will do their best to win the All Africa Games gold medal in Congo billed for September.

The Edwin Okon team won the 7th African Women Championship title late last year, and the

captain has said that her colleagues still suffers the pain of not qualifying for the last edition at Mozambique, but insists that the Falcons have resolved to appease Nigerians by beating Mali to qualify for the games and win the gold medal.

She said that majority of the players in the present Super Falcons squad are going to the AAG for the first time and would want to add the gold to their growing list of honours adding that their target is to show that they are the best in Africa by winning again.

“We are looking forward to qualifying for the AAG and get decorated with the gold medals in the women football event. We may not be able to win the World cup which precedes the AAG but we would by the grace of God not fail in Congo

“Our target for the world cup is to reach the semi final. If we get to the final, it will be plus for us but we are going to give the world cup our best shot and see how it goes” the skipper stated.
